Beyond The Dark (RP and Sign Up)

Tina flinched a bit before answering back,"I-I don't know..." She looked at a light fixture but then back them.

Clay smiled as he tapped the ground in front of him with his scythe and black globs came up and towards the mall like giant moths. His plan was working smoothly, the creatures he had sent were eating away each light, and there was a creature in everyones shadow that he had put when the first blackout occured. The globs went toward the mall swiftly, but they got there attention. Alarms went off and warnings of evacuation to the middle of the mall.

Clementine screamed as she heard the alarms and the men talking through microphones and speakers. Everyone suddenly ran to the middle of the mall a few hallways away.

Clay walked out into the clearing and towards the mall casually. Several men were being attacked. Some trying to get to him but monsters crowded over them.

Sora rolled her eyes. "We aren't getting anywhere-" She stopped as the sirens went off. She raced toward the middle of the mall, stopping around the corner so that she could see the middle of the mall but others couldn't see her. Zane stopped behind her, panting heavily. "Dark holders." She breath with horro. "We've lost haven't we Zane." She whispered. zane answered by grabbing her hand and she whipped back tears that she didn't want.

Zane took his sisters hand and saw her whipe away tears. I promissed Mom and Dad I would protect her. Now we're probably going to join the dark. He squeezed his eyes shut in frustration. I'm sorry. I've fail. He looked around at the dark, it seemed to be everywhere.

Tina looked around in confusion to the siren noises,"What is that?" She then started to look for the other two people she had mt,"Kodiak? Sora?" She started to run in the direction they left and kept yelling out their names, but she was too far for them to hear. Tina stopped running when she noticed that the lights behind her had flickered out. A darkness monster appeared behind her right after the light above her flickered out. "Ah!" she punched the monster in the gut and ran to the middle of the mall. She stopped running when she saw people in a group and snuck into the group. Tina felt safer in the group and noticed that there was a lot more lights here. She sighed and looked around for Kodiak and Sora.

Clementine was frozen in fear as the lights went out in all the mall except the lights in the middle of the mall. Monsters formed from goo piles, dark and hideous things. She was scared as she saw people disappearing. She seemed alone with the monsters crowding by her. She crouched down and crawled to a wall, her heart beating fast.

Clay made it to the mall entrance and opened the door to see the monsters already heading to the people. He looked behind him to see if Alexis was coming in or not.

Kodiak opened his eyes and saw Tina a little ways away. "Tina!" He said just loudly enough for her to hear.

Sora wasn't sure she liked Kodiak making so much noise but she didn't say anything excpet she let go of her brothers hand. she saw Clementine and rolled her eyes. "For goodness sake!" She grabbed Clementine, not worrying or carring if she struggled and dragged her back to where Kodiak was. "Are you trying to get killed?" She growled to the girl. "Don't just stand there! You're lucky I saved you."

Kodiak looked at Clementine and blinked with surprise. Where are all these girls coming from??

Clementine mumbled something out of context and followed the girl that grabbed her hand.

Clay was impatient anyways so he did not like to wait for a girl. He walked in casually and looked around most of the edge of the mall was completely abandoned.

Kodiak looked down at the clearly scared girl. "What is your name?" He asked gently, wondering if the girl was injured.

Clementine stared at Kodiak and then back in front of her. "Clementine. Whats yours?" she asked. Her walk perfectly fine but a little shaky.

"Kodiak." He said and smiled at her. He looked around quuickly. "Lets get back to cover." He whispered and entered a small, dark shop. Echo followed him quickly. He looked back at Tina and Clamentine, signalling to follow him.

Tina saw the signal and walked swiftly over to them. She didn't know why these people don't go to the dark, but that was their business. She looked around the store with a wondering look on her face. Tina had never seen these kind of things before, but when she was done looking around she looked back at Kodiak and Sora.

Clementine followed behind Tina. Her heart beating fast, she glanced behind her from now and then. She had no idea what would be lurking behind each corridor.

Sora looked at Clementine with a hint of acceptance. Maybe the girl wasn't as defenseless as she thought. Looks like she does have common sense. She smiled and shook her head slowly.

Kodiak looked at his sister with amusement. She seemed to be having a small conversation with herself. He looked back at Tina and Clamentine again. "We're going into the vents ok?" He asked in a whisper. "There the safest place to be right now." He said with a stress filled sigh. He smiled gently at the two girls. "Is that cool?"

Clementine stared at the three and nodded her head. She was ready to get away from here at least. She still was not sure about if any monsters were going to follow, but that's not much of a problem for them in the vent.

Zane nodded in acknowledgement to Clementine and awaited Tina's answer.

Tina looked at Kodiak with confusion but she answered in a nod. She didn't really know what a vent was but she just planed to follow them through it.

Clementine patiently waited for them to start going in.

Kodiak conitued to the vent without another word and climbed inside. He almost sneezed at the dust when he first came in but it cleared and his sneezed vanished. He hopped the dark wouldn't find them here.

Sora waited for the two girls to climb in, deciding to take up the rear.

While Tina crawled through the vent, she was bewildered by it What is this thing for? Hmm... she thought about it for a while until she saw something. It was a tiny dark monster, she bursted out a small peep before she squished the monster. The monster disappeared and she called out to everyone,"I just saw a tiny dark monster! But it's gone now. We should look out for them, they could attach to us and when we get out they might get larger."

Sora nodded. Right everyone keep your eyes peeled!" She called down at the people infront of her.

Kodiak nodded, he had suspected as much. That's why I took the lead. He thought grimly.

Clementine crawled through the vents along with the others. Cautiously keeping an eye out for anything else around her. She kept her senses high in case something attached to her dirty clothes. The space seemed small but cleaner than the mall itself. Still, there were dust bunnies and cobwebs like any other place in the area. Which made her sneeze and cough only lightly. This girl had never been in the vents before, so it was a new experience that she didn't like. Raising her head slightly as they continued crawling through the tight space, she thought she heard whispers. Trying to ignore those strange sounds that vibrated through the vents, she whispered to the other three carefully through shaky breathes, " Where exactly are we going ? " Their position looked like they weren't heading towards where all the other residents were heading- the center of the mall which was the area that held food shops. A cafeteria almost. Either way, she wasn't an expert with the vent systems and had no idea how to get there nor any other room.

The whole mall continued to dim with light. All the monsters roamed about every shadow, hallway, and dark they could find. It appears that they were not afraid of a little light. While the group crawled through the vents they may have all heard that whispering, gurgling sound vibrating through the metal box. Almost every sound from those same monsters they needed to be careful not to encounter. If everyone was quiet enough they would soon reach the system that hung over the cafeteria. Getting close enough to see the brighter area, and through bars even the people gathered down there. Most were freaking out, scared, all different types of emotions mixed together below them.

Suddenly, a rumbling sound began. Any of the dark holders began their way through the dark and dim mall. There were fewer screams echoing through the dark. Meanwhile, those of the dark weren't going to get close to the gathered people in the cafeteria so soon. On the other hand the dark creatures of a large sized mutated black had. These creatures lurked in the dark near the group of evacuated citizens beginning their ascent along walls and ceiling, towards the nearest light. If those unfortunate souls had a closer look at them, their ominous eyes would stay wide and pure white.

Clay gripped his scythe tightly while walking down the dark hall. His optics were always adjusted to the darkness. The light was fire burning and scraping at his eyes whenever he encountered it. He was glad to get rid of it- or at least some. The dark holder had a unreadable expression on his face, almost a mask that covered some other twisted feeling. It was not clear what his goal was here. Secrets crept among him.

Soon when those in the vents get a glimpse at the scene, will they find a way down to help the other citizens? or save themselves? It would be their decisions.
