The Infected

Ajay sighed with relief and his handler smiled. "Well come on then. Let's get you to base." She reached into her pocket and brought out some hand cuffs. "You must understand, precautions and all." She tried to put on the hand cuffs.

For a moment, Wendy thought that the girl had disappeared. She then saw the scruffy dog nearby and thought that its eyes looked extremely human. Wendy made the connection and turned back to her brother, who was now dangerously close to her hiding place. Max looked so much older and weaker than when she last saw him, which was less than a year ago. Wendy wondered what she should do. She couldn't leave him; she'd spent all he time trying to find him since he got captured. "Max!" she whispered loudly, making her decision.

Max looked around in the dark alley. He saw a dog near the end of it and was afraid for a moment before he realised the dog was probably afraid of his fire. Max had been terified of dogs ever since he was little. The alley was filled with trash and dirt and things Max couldn't even name. He wondered why anyone would hide here before remembering that he used to too. And he would do it all over again to be free. Suddenly, he heard a whisper to his left, a whisper he knew all to well. "Wendy?" Max asked, looking back at the street to make sure his handler wasn't looking.

Fawn as it turned out was not afraid of fire, though she was afraid of getting burnt. Over the past year Fawn had been one of the lucky ones. She had received a warning before the government was on her tail. Fawn had managed to gain a head start and she was sure that had been what had saved her. As a result from being on the run for so long, Fawn had seen some weird things. So a boy with fire? That didn't even phase her. She moved to stand beside Wendy. So they knew each others name, Fawn knew plenty of robots. It doesn't stop them from attacking her.

Sankra looked at her as she put on the cuffs on her wrists

IC: Ajay's handler smiled at Sankra, "Come along then." She smiled. Ajay took his weight off the girl but kept hold of her. His handler had already started walking away.

Wendy didn't even notice that Fawn had come back. She was staring at her brother, who she hadn't seen in almost a year. Wendy shook her head and snapped out of her daze. "Max...we need to get you out of here. We need..." she said, her voice trailing away. Wendy tried to think how she could help him escape, the tracking device being the root of all her problems. She looked to Max, then Fawn for help.

Max looked sadly at his sister. He shook his head. "Wendy. There is no way. Anyone who tried to escape was caught later, then never seen again." He said solemnly, wishing that his words weren't true. Max looked back and noticed that his handler was getting impatient. His handler couldn't see him from where he was standing but he would come after him soon.

"Okay." Fawn said, "Look Wendy and Matt, Max whatever. I haven't exactly been formally introduced. But I guess you know each other. What's you power kid? That fire stuff you were doing before, cool." She sighed. "There's no way I'm gonna let you guys have to battle, okay? Not a good thing battling someone you know. But your handler is gonna want something s I volunteer myself. However, that can be Plan B." Fawn lowered her voice. "Cause I'm telling you now kid, the reason you never see some of them again, they got away."

Sankra sighed mentally, and managed to get her tail out of the two rocks when she stood up and followed them

Max shook his head. "But how? With the tracking devices they'd be here in minutes to hunt me down, and anyone that helped me." He asked, frustrated. Max realised that the dog was gone and looked at the girl curiously. "And I control fire by the way. Like, create fireballs and spontaniously burst into flames and stuff." as he said this a small flame appeared in his palm.

Wendy looked hopefully at the girl. While Max was shooting down her plan, Wendy was hoping with every piece of her mind that it was possible to escape. She was as close as she'd ever been to having her brother back, and she wasn't going to just let the chance slip by. "How do you know?" Wendy asked, wondering if she knew an escapee. "And I know him cause he's my brother." She noticed the handler was getting anxious, so she concentrated and pulled a thick fog around them, hopefully enough to buy them some time.

Fawn pouted as Max told her his power. Fire control? Awesome! She had always been a tom boy like girl. Had she got the option she would have chosen a more offensive power. Sure, shapeshifting was cool and all, but seemed more defensive. A way of running away or hiding, not attacking and causing general mayhem.
Because she had here eyes on Max, Fawn did not see if Wendy reacted to Miya's trip. "Well, some manage to get rid of their tracking device before the handlers get them. Depends on the robot. Person I mean," Fawn corrected herself, "That and where they put the device. So where did they put it?"

Ajay's handler was smiling a sweet delicate smile that made Ajay want to throw up. They walked on until a new pair came up. They were both female, another handler and her pet. Ajay recognized this pet though as Harmony, the dangerously beautiful girl that captured him.

Harmony smiled, "Ajay! How good to see you!" Ajay stood their stunned. His eyes were wide and his mouth hang slightly open. Ajay was surprised Harmony remembered him.
"Of course I remember you." Harmony replied. She looked at Sankra. Her eyes gazing over her as if she were reading a book. "So who's the new kid?" She asked Ajay as if Sankra couldn't speak, but Ajay was still to stunned to answer.

Sankra just looked at ajay's handler just wanting to leave already, she is doesnt like staying in one spot for too long. especially in the forest hmph! was all she could think about wanting to say at the moment not interested in talking with her.

Wendy looked around as she felt something hit her. She frowned and looked back to Fawn.

Max listened to Fawn, flinching when she said robot. When she asked where his tracking device was, he pulled up his pant-leg to show a small device attached firmly to his ankle. "Believe me, I've tried to get the thing off. I have smashed it against the wall, sent giant fireballs at it, everything!"

Sankra's tail twitched in annoyance as she followed them, she glanced around as they walked attempting to memorize the way they came.

Sankra looked at the handler before stepping inside the van

Sankra was unfazed by the sudden giant antshe was too busy thinking about other things Hmph! What do they actually want from us anyways.....besides I would rather fly in the clouds then travel by vehicle

Max laughed quietly. "Yes, if only I would be lucky enough to be struck by lightning." he said. He was about to say more when his sister butted in,

"Wait! I can do that." Wendy said, excitedly. "I mean, zap it with lightning. I control weather!"

Max looked at his sister, slightly scared. "Since when can you do that?"

"Uh...recently, but I'm pretty accurate......"

Sanka wasn't overly concerned of being on fire, mostly because she was used to the feeling ever sense she accidently set herself on real fire and her whole house. She blew a small non harmable puff of smoke. It was her way of saying 'i can breath fire because im part dragon and I am not terrified of fire' she watched it dissapear infront of her.
